Black History Month
Pupils in Years 5 and 6 took part in an exciting workshop run by the Arsenal Primary Stars for Black History Month, last Friday 23rd October 2020. They took part in the Black History Month themed workshop celebrating and learning about some of Arsenal’s most famous Black players, which included:
- Filmed Q&As with Brendon Batson OBE (Arsenal’s first Black player in the 1970s), Chris Whyte (Islington born Arsenal player from the 1980s) and Paul Davis (1990s Arsenal legend)
- Discussions on the changes seen both at Arsenal F.C. and London post WW2
- They took part in BHM themed Literacy activities
- Interactive tasks and discussions
