Anti Bullying Week (Monday 16th- Friday 20th November 2020)

This week we are celebrating anti bullying week. Bullying has a long lasting effect on those who experience and witness it. But by channeling our collective power, through shared efforts and shared ambitions, we can reduce bullying together. From parents and carers, to teachers and politicians, to children and young people, we all have a part to play in coming together to make a difference.

We're all a piece in the puzzle, and together, we're united against bullying.

Spanish Day Friday 6th July

Thank you to everyone who helped make our first ever Spanish Day such a success. Year 4 put on a wonderfully informative assembly on the Spanish they have been learning throughout the year.

The children wore very colourful clothes to celebrate the colours of the Spanish flag and Latin American flags.

Some children brought in delicious food from their countries for us all to try!

Our expert Spanish speakers in Year 6 taught pupils in Nursery, Reception and Year 1, the numbers and colours in Spanish.

Year 4 had a go at making guacamole from Mexico.

Everyone had such fun learning how to dance Salsa too!

Visit to the Jewish Museum

Pupils in Years 1-6 were very excited about visiting the Jewish museum last week. They had a wonderful time learning about the Jewish traditions of Shabbat, the Synagogue and the importance the Torah. They also had opportunities to make their own Havdalah candle, and even write their name in Hebrew using ink and a quill!

Shakespeare in School

The pupils had a wonderful day continuing our celebrations of Word Book Day.

They performed a Shakespeare play together - in a single day!

All classes joined together to perform A Midsummer Night’s Dream to each other – and the whole school with the process, including preparation, only taking one day.

This day of class-by-class workshops led to a shared fantastic final performance which provided the children with a wonderful introduction to Shakespeare’s greatest comedy and they really showed off their acting skills.
