St Martin Road Safety Workshop
Pupils in St Martin class took part in an excellent Road Safety workshop led by the Islington Road Safety Team on Monday 23rd January.
This interactive C.S.I. style project promoted transitional road safety skills in an interactive and unforgettable way, including:
- How to be a safe, independent traveller on the home to school journey.
- How distractions like phones and friends put us at risk around roads.
- What we can do to keep ourselves and our friends safe.
The format of the project, using film footage as well as live interaction, included:
- An approx. 40 min session delivered by a Riot Act facilitator via a video conferencing platform
- Incident Report sheets for students to make notes and collect evidence.
- A school’s pack for follow-up work in the classroom.
