  • Create and Play

    Thu 24 Mar 2022

We are delighted that St Anthony Class were selected to represent Blessed Sacrament School at Music Education Islington’s Create and Play Concert at Union Chapel, on Wednesday 16th March.

The class performed their own composition challenge, which they had been working on within their music sessions, and they were accompanied by our music teacher, Rachel Mayby, on the piano. The children performed in front of all other Islington schools taking part.

The London Sinfionetta were also in attendance, as they have been working with school’s Music Education Programme.

  • Red Nose Day 2022

    Fri 18 Mar 2022

All the children (and staff!) looked great in their red noses, red clothes and red hair for Comic Relief. We were delighted to raise some money for charity and we learned lots about the great work Comic Relief does for people all around the world! At the core of Catholic Social Teaching we learn the importance of helping those less fortunate than ourselves, and follow in Jesus' footsteps to Love One Another. Thank you for all the donations which we will pass on to the charity.

  • RED NOSE DAY

    Tue 15 Mar 2022

    Dear Parents and Carers,
RED NOSE DAY IS BACK ON FRIDAY 18 MARCH 2022
Pupils are invited to wear something red, including red clothing, red hair, red nose or just red socks - anything of their choosing! Please bring in £1 to support the Red Nose Day appeal. You can help people live free from poverty, violence and discrimination in the UK and abroad. This includes funding organisations that are supporting people right now in Ukraine, and those attempting to cross the border. Because you have the power to change lives.
    Many thanks,
    Ms Fernandez
    Head of School

  • World Book Day 3rd March 2022

    Thu 03 Mar 2022

We have celebrated a wonderful World Book Day. The costumes were fantastic!   Inventive, creative and inspirational - the children really brought some book characters to life! We had a wonderful assembly led by Sofia Fernandes from Usborne Books. Each child was given a pack including a brand new book for them to keep, and a book mark and sponsor forms - please return these by 16th March. This is to raise much-needed funds to buy books for our school and class libraries.

The children also took part in activities in class so look out for news on their class pages.
